JCI Cork are hosting this year’s national convention and they are proud to welcome you to Cork from October 13-15, hosted in the Clayton Hotel, Cork City.
They have an amazing convention planned to mark the 60th anniversary of JCI in Ireland and they’re so excited to share the details with you.
The theme of this year’s Convention is ‘Aspire to Inspire’. With the beautiful Cork City as the backdrop, JCI Cork hope to present you with a programme that will leave you aspiring for greatness and feeling inspired!
The HQ for the weekend, Clayton Hotel, Cork City on Lapps Quay, gives the convention a great city centre base. Recently refurbished, the hotel brings a high standard and class to the event which will be an enriching and memorable experience for you.

JCI Ireland National Convention First Timer Grants
In 2017, JCI Ireland will give a grant of €50 per applicant to contribute towards registration fees for up to 10 eligible first timers. The grants are made available from JCI Ireland to make it as easy as possible for members to attend and also to defer some of the costs associated with attending the event for JCI members attending for the first time. There are some conditions to applying for the grants, which are listed on the application form. Grants are reimbursed to successful applicants, after attendance of the event.

The Countdown to JCI Ireland Convention in Cork has started and one of the most exciting parts of the convention is the JCI Ireland National Awards - even more so this year with record attendance expected at our gala dinner. It 's your chance to showcase the impact your branch and members have delivered during the year. The deadline for submission of these awards is Friday September 22nd 2017.

Remember that any member can write an award but it has to be approved by the branch President with their signature. Project leaders can write their own awards. A detailed email on awards submission has been sent to all local presidents.
JCI Ireland - 7 Steps to Success Awards 2017
The JCI Ireland 7 Steps to Success Award is awarded in recognition of a new member’s involvement in the organization. It is open to all members in their first 2 years of Membership of the organisation or of a new local branch and aims at encouraging members to become involved in a wide variety of JCI activities.
It is awarded when 7 out of 10 activities are achieved. When you have attained this level, you can fill in the application form below then share the link with your Local President, who will add their signature and submit the form.
Your certificate will be presented to you on the Saturday of National Convention by the National President.
Remember all seven activities must be completed within a calendar year and no one event can qualify as 2 activities.
Local Presidents and members of the National Executive Committee are exempt from this award.
